Coach Bio


Coach Wible has over 30 year's experience in the coaching field. Beginning at the age of 18, Coach Wible coached high school girl's and men’s basketball in Indiana . Finding true value in the coaching of athletes. Coach Wible received his Bachelor's degree in Education from Indiana State University. As a varsity volleyball coach in Indiana and Illinois, Coach Wible became known for his ability to "turn-around" programs. He has taken several teams to the state level of playing in Indiana, Including a State Runner up at Bloomfield High School. Wible was the Class A Indiana Volleyball Coach of the Year in 1997, a co-coach of the Southern Indiana All-State team that defeated the North 5 games to 0 and briefly before moving to Illinois the Indiana State Volleyball Coaches Association President and a long time board member of the ICGSA. Coach Wible has founded volleyball clubs in both Indiana and Illinois, that produced several successful college athletes. He created the Springfield Shock in Springfield, Illinois in 2010. He has coached at Athens, Lanphier, Rochester High School, and currently Springfield Southeast in Illinois and Bloomfield, Tipton and West Central (where he was the area volleyball coach of the year) in Indiana. The American Volleyball Coaches' Association applauds Coach Wible for his hard work and enthusiasm for the sport of volleyball. His teams consistently are on the AVCA's list of all academic teams. Many of his former players either choose to play in college or become volleyball coaches themselves. Coach Wible currently coaches the 18, 16 and 14 under teams. Last year coach Wible's 17's were National Runner up, his 15's finished 3rd in the Nationals and his 13's were 13th at the Nationals all competing against over 200 teams in their division. In 2020, Coach Wible was recognized by the JVA as one of 12 National recipients of the JVA Club Service Award!
